About this template
This page is a template. It must be reviewed by a Canadian lawyer and an insurance professional before it is used with real customers.
Text in [square brackets] is a placeholder or a suggested default that the business owner must confirm or replace.
In this page, “we”, “us” and “FilmRental” mean [Legal entity name], operating as FilmRental at filmrental.ca. “You” means the person or company renting from us.
Pickup or delivery
You can pick up and return equipment at the pickup location confirmed in your booking, or ask for delivery and collection in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
Delivery is to your door or to the shoot location you give us. It is confirmed in writing together with the time window.
Delivery zones and fees
Delivery zones are based on the postal code. The fee is charged per trip, at CAD 45, CAD 70 or CAD 95 depending on the zone [owner to confirm zones].
A delivery and a collection are two trips, so a round trip is charged as two trips. Taxes are added.
After-hours service
Delivery or pickup outside regular hours [regular hours to be confirmed] costs an extra CAD 75 per trip and must be agreed in advance.
Checking the equipment on arrival
Please check the equipment against the packing list when you receive it. Tell us about missing or faulty items right away, ideally with photos.
By accepting the equipment, you confirm it was received complete and working, except for what you reported.
Someone must be there
An adult named in the booking, or someone they appoint, must be present to receive and hand back the equipment. We do not leave equipment unattended.
If nobody is there, the trip may be charged again and the rental time keeps running.
Returns and collection
Return the equipment by the agreed time. Late returns follow the Rental Terms.
For collection, have everything packed in its cases and ready at the agreed time.
Delays and access problems
Traffic, weather and building access can delay a trip. We will keep you informed and aim to meet the agreed window, but time windows are estimates.
You are responsible for loading-dock access, parking permits and building rules at the delivery address.
